So Ready!

Tonight I finished reading Eclipse again.

Obviously I finished reading New Moon already.

I've come to realize that I like Twilight & Eclipse the best. I guess it's because I like the whole "Edward & Bella" story better than the "Bella & Jacob" story. Oh don't get me wrong, I like Bella & Jacob together but Edward was there first.

I am so frickin' eager to get my hands on Breaking Dawn already!!! Aug. 2, can't come soon enough (not that I want to rush the summer or anything)! I only hope my copy gets here ON Aug. 2 & isn't SHIPPED Aug. 2. That wouldn't make me happy AT ALL!!!

On another Twilight note.....Have you seen this????

I have to get this! I only hope I can get my hands on it. I have to point out that this pic of Edward doesn't do him justice at all.

I hope the movie lives up to the book. Most books-turned-movies aren't tranlated right & downright suck. Unless you count the Harry Potter series. Those were actually done perfectly.

Believe it or not I'm not just a bookworm, I do scrap! I've got a couple of LO's that I hope to post tomorrow. I've just been a bit obsessed with a certain love story.....

Pity Party

I have been in a foul mood all day. That would basically be from me still not allowed to wear my contacts (I go see the eye dr. THURSDAY). Thus not being able to wear make-up to go out. Thus feeling trapped inside. BESIDES that I've got my "Aunt Flo" visiting, making my life a misery in itself. I haven't slept good. I'm in pain. I'm just an all around bitch!! I feel miserable & it's all just making me crazy!!

I even warned Joe when he got home tonight that I'm in a foul mood & that it's got nothing to do with him or the girls. Just me.

I think he wanted to run back to work!!

Or maybe he was wishing he had thought to bring home brownies!! LOL!!

I feel like I haven't had a relaxing week YET this summer!! Oh yeah & as of tomorrow the summer is 1/2 over! Can you just believe it???

ETA: Oh yeah I forgot to mention that I've also got a sore throat. I think Gianna got all "typhoid Mary" on us & we need to detox the house or something!!

Albums

So today I went & mixed my albums together. I've been keeping them all separate like "Holiday", "Birthdays", "Baby", "Everyday", etc.

What was I thinking??

I just finally had enough & combined everything all together chronologically. I like it. Especially how 4 post albums fit ever so nicely into 2, 3 ring albums. How great is that? The only albums I'll continue to keep separate are the Disney trips. But who knows what I might end up doing the next time my equilibrium is all out of whack!

Sadly, I also realize how pitiful my scrapping was when I first started.

I just cringed looking at those LO's!!!

Now I feel the urge to re-do all those early LO's. I don't have the baby albums done only started. So for me to continue the albums (so to speak), they'd be so out of whack! The styles would be so off base. Now I'm not talking like the pics are all cut into shapes. I started scrapping after that style was already said & buried. But do I like my style better now? Absolutely!!

I'm not saying I'm the greatest scrapper that's ever put scissors to paper. Not in the least! I'm just saying my style is more pleasing to the eye now, if you know what I mean!

It's all PINK!

Nope not a LO. Nope not a card. It's my EYE! I've got pink eye! It's all swollen & painful. (Take my word for it I was NOT getting a pic of that for the blog!! LOL!!!)

AARRRRGGGGGGHH!!!!!

I can't seem to catch a break this summer between the girls & me being sick in one way or another!

You know it's bad when I go to the Dr. right away! It started late Tues. night & by last night it was annoying me to no end! I thought I had scratched my eye or that I had something in there but the Dr. looks at it & declares pink eye right away. He asked me if I'd been near anyone with pink eye & I said no, not thinking about Gianna's slighty pink eye over the weekend. But I did mention how she had pneumonia & he said it's possible since it's viral too. Not sure if he was "yes-ing" me on that but whatever. I've never had it this bad & to top it off the Dr. says I have a really bad case of it! Fantastic!

Lucky me has to wear my glasses for a whole week (the frames bother my ear) & I can't wear make-up (not a problem). I have to make sure my hands are constantly clean especially when I'm near anyone. I'm trying to keep my distance from the girls & Joe just to make sure. The worst part?? I have to put eye drops in my eye 4 times a day!!

AAARRRGGGGGGHHH!!!!!

I hate eye drops or anything near my eyes. Go figure especially since I wear contacts all the time!!

The funny part?? Tonight after Joe put the drop in my eye I hear Gianna laughing at me!! Guess it's payback for all the times I've given her eye drops! Rotten kid! She's just lucky I love her!!

Today I made sure to take pics of the LO's that I got down over the weekend. They were in my way & I wanted to put them in their albums before something happened.

I also changed this card from the other day, a little bit & used the Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" embossing folder on the dark blue part instead of leaving it plain like I orginally did. Can't believe I didn't do that to begin with! I like it better now. You know how I make 2 LO's that are similar but differnt for each girls'album right? I stuck to the same design & just changed the papers & embellies a bit for each LO.

Calgon...where are you??? The Earring Story. ....Loonnnngggg post!!

Today started like normal. Was going OK, taught the girls how to play "Guess Who", but only really taught Marissa who was a little bummed because I kept guessing who she had (Gianna kept blabbing who our person was).

I play no favorites & show Marissa that in "reality" she doesn't always win. I'm ruthless like that...especially when playing "Monopoly" then it's a no holds barred death match!! Finally they changed games & tried playing together without me. Bad idea. It wasn't long before they started fighting over the new game. So I had to break that up....fun.

Finally I got time to sort out my next batch of pics to print for my next set of LO's. Just when I start printing my black ink ran out but luckily I had a spare. It prints a page then my printer runs out of color ink. Crap, I'm all out. **SIGH**

Gianna had a 3pm appt. for her annual checkup at the Dr's office. I had planned on going out after that to get a birthday gift for one of Marissa's friends that's having a party tomorrow (Yep, I like to wait until the last minute). I wanted to do this in one "outing", but now I "needed" my ink. Thought it over & opted to get her gift at Target so I could go to Staples after & get my ink. Mission accomplished.

The only glitch was the annoying lady behind me on line at Staples. There was only 1 line & I was behind 1 person. Then a guy opens another line & says "I'll take the next customer" so that person goes over to him. Now I'm next waiting patiently when this lady says "are you going over to that line?" I said "I think they're taking next in line" so she shuts up. Then before I know it she says "Now there's a line forming over there". I turned to her & said "Do what you want. I don't care". WHAT THE HELL? Is she in THAT much of a rush?? I only had 1 item but you didn't see me flustered. It wasn't worth it.

Next was Gianna's appt. She was anxious about getting her finger pricked but the tech wasn't sure if she would need it since she had it done last week so we went into the exam room after a quick "eyes & ears" test. Then the nurse told me she'd be getting 4 shots today.

Lovely.

I was telling Gianna about it so it wouldn't be such a shock & told her it'd be like getting a pinch. This brought on her wanting her ears pierced because we had told her that's what it felt like. I asked her if she wanted them done today & she said yes. I kept telling her it would hurt but only like a pinch just to make sure but this is something she has wanted for awhile now & there was no stopping her. I asked the nurse if the Dr. had the time to do it today & she found out that she did. Meanwhile the tech comes in & says Gianna does need her finger pricked after all.

Oh this is gonna be a LOUD appt!!

The Dr. did the exam & her pneumonia checks out OK & everything else is just right on target for her age & her blood work came back good (it wasn't too bad of a finger prick but the tech made her laugh). Fantastic, that's what I like to hear! Then the Dr. says we'll do her earrings 1st or she'll be traumatized from the shots & won't do it. OK, I'm game.

She starts by cleaning her ears with alcohol & then it starts. Gianna was not liking the cold on her ears & started fussing. Great. We asked her if she still wanted her ears pierced & she said yes. She knows what's important in life! LOL!

The Dr. proceeded to mark her ears with a marker to gets the holes even & Gianna wasn't liking that but wasn't too bad. Until I had to hold her. The Dr. tells her she's gonna hear a "crunch" & then she'll have beautiful earrings. I tell her how it's gonna sound like her cereal, trying to downplay it, when it happens. Oh. My. Goodness!! The cry!! The tears!! The sound!!! We try to calm her but she wasn't having it, so the Dr. asks her if she only wants 1 earring or 2. I did not raise a dumb child & she said she wanted 2 but now she knew what to expect & was not happy at all! More cries! More tears! More LOUDness!!

But wait there's more!!!

She's there pitifully crying when the Dr. tells me to hold her & she'll give her the shots. Gianna could hear this loud & clear through her cries & wails louder if possible! Freaking out might be a good term. She gets 2 shots in each arm & was screaming like there was no tomorrow! I don't blame her one bit & feel bad. I should have made her ears a separate appt., despite what she wanted.

Just give me the "Mother-of-the-Year" award.

Coming home is when we were almost in an accident (see previous post). So when I say "What a day", I really mean "Where's the frickin' alcohol!!"

Don't worry I stick to coffee minus the alcohol!!

On a lighter note.....
Over the past weekend I was on a roll getting LO's done. In fact I did 6...YEAH ME!!

But you can't see them.

Sorry but the pics I took tonight all came out crappy so I'm gonna try again tomorrow.

FYI- I worked out my frustration from the day on the treadmill...and no my water was not laced with alcohol!!

We were on our way home just now, just coming off the highway, literally just 2 turns away from our house when we were almost hit. We were on the jughandle so we were going straight & the SON OF A BITCH Mother F**&&^% A**H** making a left tries cutting me off!

It's MY RIGHT OF WAY!!!!

He actually smudged my bumper ever so slightly but only because I swerved! He is SO F****** LUCKY that he didn't hit me ESPECIALLY with the girls in the car!! He didn't even STOP just kept going, obviously he knew he was wrong.

I'm shaking still & think I need an adult beverage.

Movie Review

Today we took the girls to see the latest Disney/Pixar movie "Wall-e". I normally love these movies but I'd recently heard some "ok" reviews about it. Now I wasn't so keen on seeing it, but I went anyway.

'Cause I'm a rebel.

The best part of it (besides snuggling with Gianna in the theater)? I actually liked it!! There's not alot of talking but the overall storyline is cute. Like most Disney movies, there's a moral to it too. In a nutshell, go see it!

4th of July Recap

Hope everyone had a good 4th. Our plans got rained out. We were supposed to watch the parade at our friends Bobby's house but when we got up it was raining (mostly drizzling).

Joe & I talked about it & decided with Gianna just getting over pnemonia we didn't want her sitting outside in the rain. I felt bad since the girls had been looking forward to it all week...especially after being cooped up inside this whole time! We didn't have any other plans so we just relaxed & hung out around the house. It was relaxing.

The sad part was that I didn't take any pics of the girls. At all. I had all these intentions of taking their pics but then I'd have to do their hair.

Then I'd have to get them to pose.

Then I'd have to hit the bottle!!

So I didn't do it.

Who knows I might be tempted to do a "reshoot" in the next few days but we'll see how cooperative they are. Yeah right!

Oh yeah, I worked on some LO's & got 2 more done with another 2 in the works!! WOO-HOO!! I'm not holding my breath that I'll be done with the album before our Aug. trip but it's moving along & for that I'm happy.

A Layout, a Card & Cupcakes!

Just wanted to share a LO I got done the other day. More from Gianna's princess makeover from our June 2007 Disney trip.

While resizing the pics I noticed the pink bow on the top corner needs to be repositioned. Just imagine it where it should be & don't judge me too harshly 'kay?

As I was cleaning off my desk to start another LO (which I have almost done) I noticed the scraps were just the right size for a card so I said "Why not??"

Now since tomorrow is the Fourth of July, we always go to our friend Bobby's house to watch the parade. The girls have been on edge not knowing if they'd be well enough to go, but I think they just might be ok after all (despite Gianna waking up with her 1 eye all red). Now because I can't go anywhere empty handed I made these.

Just some plain vanilla cupcakes but they are decked out in the red, white & blue. Think they came out fun looking....and yummy!!

A Crappy Day

So today started out with the girls at each others throats 1st thing in the morning...they were actually my alarm clock. Not a good way to start the day. On the other hand if they're fighting that must mean they feel better! LOL!!

I told myself that I would, come hell or high water, get my butt on the treadmill today. So I threw on some clothes & we all went downstairs. The girls ate breakfast & I had my coffee while putzing around online. I always start checking out blogs thinking they will have been updated while I was asleep even though I check some of them before I go to bed. Bad I know.

I need a life!

By the time I'm done surfing it's time for round 2. The girls are back in the kitchen wanting more food. You know what I mean Laura!! (Sometimes I feel like our lives run paralell to each other--not to sound stalkerish!!) Today was non-stop with them constantly wanting to eat everytime I'd be finishing up in the kitchen.

It's a crazy cycle!!

I try to hang out in the kitchen while they eat because they'll likely be calling to me that they need something else so while I wait for their next "request", I surf online. Only then I get involved in surfing so then the time passes &.....WAIT! I just figured out where my days go!! Crap!!

Well long story short, I did it & went on the treadmill. I figured I'd start at 35 mins since the last time I started again I went too much too soon & got all sore then didn't go back because I needed to "recover" (not really).

So I had about 15 mins left when my sister Marie calls to tell me that my Mom was in a car accident & she was going to meet her at the hospital. She had no information other than that.

Crap.

She promised to keep me posted & would call me when she found something out. So I started back on the treadmill trying to block out all these bad thoughts. I managed to walk 1.30 miles before I got another phone call from my sister Chet telling me my mom hurt her shoulder & was in a lot of pain, they were taking her into x-ray. Not to sound unfeeling but that's a lot better than what could have been. At this point I gave up on the treadmill so I could call Marie back to fill her in.

After a few phone calls I went upstairs to shower & dress feeling relieved about my mom & good that I managed over a 20 min. mile. Yeah me! I even put away some laundry before Joe got on my case about going on the "Great Laundry Hunt" as he puts it!

Later in the afternoon, Gianna took a nap, which she's been doing this past week thanks to the pnemonia & woke up cranky & feverish. Lovely. (I can see another Dr's appt. in my future tomorrow.) She wanted to eat but only took a few spoonfuls of the pasta she despartely wanted a few mins before. Then Marissa was back in the kitchen wanting food & so the cycle began again! I told them that this was it & they were done until dinner. Which I think they could deal with since it was 4:30--believe me they don't starve.

However they drifted into the den & started fighting over the V-Smile game. They haven't played with it in awhile but of course, one is playing with it so the other one has to have it too!

This is about the time I flipped out.

I managed to get them to share the game & sat down to read my new Aug issue of CK magazine that I got in the mail. I start flipping through it & just a few pages in where they always have the MM ad I see a CUTE LO by my idol Laura! Cool.

Yeah I know I have such the exciting life!! What do you want I've got cabin fever--being stuck inside all week with 2 cranky sick kids!!

So to end the day Gianna's fever subsided a bit. Fantastic. She took her medicine without tossing it back up. Fantastic. And they're in bed & I have a small stack of pics to scrap!

But first I'm going to search for where my life went!

Can you say PINK?? And an update.

Yep, this is one PINK LO. I finally used the Creative Imaginations Princess line that I've horded in my stash. Thought it went with the whole "hat/crown" theme plus the background in the pics are PINK!

This is Marissa doing what seems like a new tradition everytime we go to Disney--trying on all the FUN hats! This is from our June 2007 trip. Someday I'll be done with this album!!

I also used the American Crafts Thicker Stickers for the title & some of those fun MM border strips as well as the crown. Now I've just got to finish the other LO that's almost finished on my desk & maybe I'll have another LO to post tomorrow.

An update on the girls.

Gianna had a bad night of sleeping last night. She had me up constantly, sometimes because she was miserably sick & other times for nonsense--like changing her pj's at 3am--for no reason at all! She was really mopey all day & took a few good naps throughout the day.

The worst part was giving her medicine. Last night she refused to take it before even trying it. She was flipping out crying & coughing & when I finally managed to get some in her she threw it up from working herself all up. Nice. This morning she gave me a hard time but I luckily managed to get it in her without any real drama. Tonight was a repeat of last night but she really does it to herself & makes herself throw it up. How stubburn is she??

Marissa on the other hand takes her medicine like a trooper. Don't get me wrong, she doesn't like it but understands to feel better in time for the 4th July parade she needs to take it. She seemed better today although she didn't do much & just rested on the couch watching tv most of the day.

It still blows my mind how fast & hard it's hit them. I never suspected Pnemonia in June. On the other hand it's been pretty quiet--they're too sick to fight with each other!

Summer Reading

I've been in a reading sort of mood lately. I picked this up at BJ's while getting some things for the girls party the other weekend. I finished it in about 3 days...and I was drawing it out. What can I say? I like Jackie Collins for the pure fiction it is. It was ok, not one of her best novels but readable, unlike some other books that I've had to struggle to finish.

Like this one.

I fell in love with Stephanie Meyer when I read Twilight & totally expected another fantastic book. I was so disappointed. I know the story line was nothing like the Twilight series but I couldn't wait for it to pick up. I must say the ending is the best part of the book & not just that it was over. I finally finished it awhile ago but never got around to posting about it. It's not worth a second read in my opinion.

However this book is!! I started this again on Wednesday night. I still LOVE it!! I'm almost done with it again & just love everything about it! Can't wait until the movie comes out!!

Luckily, I'll be getting my hands on this gem in August!!
