June 365 2014

Another month gone and we're more than halfway through the year. Shocking how fast the time goes, especially the nice warm months.

Mondays Are Mean!

Especially the day after vacation!!

Mondays don't usually bother me too much but today was tough.  I had to go to work a lot longer than my normal day and it's standing all day long. I'm feeling it.  Doesn't help that afterwards I went food shopping since the cupboards were BARE!  Well mostly just the fridge, but whatever.

It was also hard leaving the puppies after picking them up late last night and not getting enough quality time with them.  I've missed those sweet, little faces!!

All day at work, I thought about Disney, and the puppies. My kids too. Can't forget them!! LOL! They've reached the age, where they just don't want to pose for pictures anymore. I don't have many pics with them from our trip. It breaks my heart, and I tried all sorts of Mothers guilt to get them in the shot but it didn't always work.

Since coming home, I've made the puppies a fresh batch of treats, and started tackling the mountain of laundry.  I'm hoping to relax a little in my scrap room tonight, even if all I do is print pics.  I need to catch up on ProjectLife so bad and I'm feel the pressure.  Yes the pressure is just from the craziness inside my head but after the last Disney trip taking so long to get through, I'm afraid how long this trip will take me to do!

A Sad Day In The Scrapbook World

As I was scrolling through my Instagram feed I saw this and it floored me.

I quickly checked my email and sure enough it was true. After 15 years of amazing inspiration, Two Peas is closing. I haven't been very active in the last few years with posting to my gallery but I have been an active shopper!

I've made some wonderful friends through Two Peas. I've learned so much  through their classes. It's going to be hard not to jump on for some inspiration when the mojo is not flowing. I'm going to miss having my gallery easily accessible.

I'm going to miss it all. Thank you for the inspiring years!

Life Lately

It's been another amazing vacation to Disney World! The days have been hot and the trip seems too short. There's never enough time to do it all, but we enjoy the time we have.

This was Gianna's 10th birthday trip. Her birthday was celebrated almost every single day. She's officially double digits!

It was magical!!

2.  Her favorite foods are Hot Wings (from Outback) and Cinnabon.
3.  She loves to read magazines.
4.  She loves playing Minecraft.
5.  She loves to listen to music.  Her favorite artists are Selena Gomez, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
6.  She loves riding her bike.
7.  She is very independent.
8.  Her favorite book series is the Dork Diaries.
9.  She loves thrill rides.  The faster the better!
10.  Her favorite Disney character is Goofy.

Wishing my baby girl (who isn't a baby) the happiest of birthdays!

Love you G!

Project Life 2014 Week: 2

Week 2 was a hectic week around here.  Riley hurt her eye so a trip to the vet was in order.  We also had to  bring Annie back to the breeders so she could go to her forever home, and a birthday get together ended the week.

Powered through this week with a lot of polka dots, alpha stickers and washi tape.  Kept it simple (for the most part) and it got done fast.

used a 4x6 pocket protector from WRMK since I wanted to include more pictures without breaking them up, and I like having the flexibility.  I need to use more of a variety of page sizes.

School's OUT! 2014

Today marks the last day of school for the girls.  Summer is officially here!  Technically at least.  It was rainy and chilly today, didn't feel like Summer.

Life's been pretty hectic around here, and usually by this time of year, I'm burnt out.  Which would explain why I did not take "last day of the school year pictures" of my girls.  Yep, I'm a slacker.

I did take a picture of Gianna at school during her "NJ Day", where the kids read books they wrote about a town in NJ.  Gianna wrote about Wildwood, NJ.  She wrote an embellished story about our trip there a few year ago.  The kids brought in beach chairs or towels and we hung out with them.

The day was over quick, thanks to a half day.  We have a lot to do in the next few days that aren't all fun but it's in preparation for fun times ahead.

At one point today it hit me, I now have an 8th and 5th grader.  In the Fall, they will start their last year in their current school before moving onto new schools.  I know everyone says it but time moves so quick!

Now I'm ready for some warm sunny days!

Project Life 2013 Week: Fifty-Two

My last week of 2013!  Took long enough to get here!  This week is a bit longer, since I squeezed in the rest of the year into it.  I wanted to keep the year all together in one album.

When I made this I was pushing to get it done while including a lot of pictures. Hard to narrow down the options around Christmastime.

Inserts come in handy, since I have a hard time deciding on pictures.  I think this insert was my favorite too.  I kept it easy and simple.

I had to include this picture of the girls on Christmas morning and thought it would be great as an 8 1/2 x 11.  Nothing fancy, whatsoever, but i let the picture say it all.

On the back I included pictures of the girls by themselves.  Again, nothing fancy.

This side doesn't have much extra to it, but the story is there and that's the important part.

The following spread wraps up the year.

It's a bit hard to see, but I added stitching to the jawbone pocket.  The flags were pre-printed on the card and I just stitched it with matching floss.  The family filler card was already circled and had the heart but I wanted it to stand out more so I added stickles to it.  Who says you have to leave things alone?

I kept the pictures 4x6 on this side using the smaller pockets for journaling and I need to remember to do that more.  I like having the pictures stand out.

For the closing page, I like to add some family pictures from the year.  I know I already have them in the album but it doesn't matter to me.  I embossed the good times veneer with gold Zing and the large 4 veneer (from Michael's) with an aqua zing powder.  A little all over the place but it's DONE!!!

Currently, I'm on Week 10 of 2014, so I have more to share!  So good to finally be completely done with 2013!

Project Life 2013 Week: Fifty-One

These pages both dragged on and were fun at the same time.  So many pictures to include make it seem endless, yet I had fun playing with them.

Happy with how these came out.  Tried keeping it simple yet fun.

Another insert for our visits from Zonko.  It's hard to see but the wood veneer (found it at Michaels) has some tiny glitter sewed into the pocket.

Almost done working on February for 2014.  Was hoping to be further along in the year by now, but some days it seems too time consuming.  I find myself wishing I didn't have so many Project Life supplies, making me feel guilty that I "have" to keep going with this project.  I miss scrapping traditionally.  I know I am scrapping in a way but I can't seem to find balance between the two and it's frustrating. I know I'm recording our life memories, so I can't really complain.

Big Girl Camera!

On our anniversary, Joe went above and beyond and surprised me with the camera I've been researching!!  We normally don't exchange gifts on our anniversaries, so I wasn't expecting this at all!

I was shocked!  He also gave me the go ahead to buy a Jo Totes bag to carry it in!  I am a lucky girl!  He completely understands how much I love to take pictures about anything and everything.

Thankful for Pinterest tutorials and friends I can learn from!!  I am going to love playing with this and have so much to learn before our trip to Disney!

15 WONDERFUL Years of Wedded Bliss

Fifteen years ago today, Joe and I said "I do." in front of our family and friends.

Fifteen years has passed since that amazing day in our lives.  In these fifteen years, we've bought a house, remodeled the house, had two beautiful girls, planned many Disney vacations, celebrated a lot of birthdays and now have 3 fun puppies.  It hasn't been all sunshine and roses but overall, it's been AMAZING!

Fifteen years ago, I married my Prince Charming.

He is my soul mate, and I am lucky to have him in my life.

Here's to many more adventures full of love and happiness!

I love you to infinity and beyond!!

Project Life 2013 Week: Fifty

Christmas doesn't mean you have to stick to the basic red and green theme.  I like throwing in some pink and light blue or aqua into the mix.  It makes it more fun and playful to me.

I know some days the pockets seem similar, and while I like printing most of my pictures wallet sized I love tossing in some 4x6.

More elf on the shelf inserts that I kept simple.

A lot more pink on this page, as well as simple.  Labels or alpha stickers and it's done!

Project Life 2013 Week: Forty-Nine

Nothing like December in June!  December is such a full month (I'm sure it's the same everywhere).

I think having so many pictures to go through makes me even more of a procrastinator.  I tend to get overwhelmed and don't want to do since it'll take FOREVER! (Said like a 4 year old.)

Once I get moving and see it coming along, I realize there's nothing to complain about and wonder why it took me so long to begin with. Sometimes I just need a good swift kick!

I did simplify all my Elf on the Shelf pics with inserts.  Trimmed down a page protector and used washi tape for an edge.  Not super crazy about it but it's done.

So happy to be almost done sharing 2013.  I've had it done for a while but now it seems like the never ending year!
