Chocolate Chip Cookies

Going to share my cookie recipes with you.

It's my Christmas gift to you.

You're welcome. ;)

However I'm going to post these all seperately....otherwise this would be one SUPER long post! The good part is that I'm sharing them all at the same time so you can pick your favorite without having to read through them all if you don't want to.

Just make sure you have plenty of milk handy!!

First up is my famous (in my own mind) Chocolate Chip Cookies..... Enjoy!!

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES YIELD: 3 DOZEN

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
2/3 cup granulated sugar
½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon salt
2 cups Chocolate Chips
¾ cup chopped walnuts, optional

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy; beat in egg & vanilla. In medium bowl combine flour, baking soda & salt; blend into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 9-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 1 minutes on cookie sheets; cool completely on wire racks. Store in tightly covered container.
