Art Show 2012

Tonight was the Art Show at the girls' school.  The kids' art from throughout the year is displayed around the school & the parents come to see how talented all the kids are.  Some of the artwork is really incredible too!

Marissa made this Dalmatian dog, complete with a red harness that just completes it.  It was so life-like that it even shed.  It's redeeming factor is that it's potty-trained. ;)

Here is the artiste' with her creation.

Some other drawings included this alien scene.  I like all the blue shading.

She also drew Lady Liberty.  Made me think back to her field trip to Liberty State Park....can't believe how fast time flies!

This girl amazes me.  She doesn't realize how much talent she has.  I love her rose & will be framing it.

Gianna had some terrific artwork displayed too.  This is the bird she made.  It captures the fun, happy part of Gianna perfectly!

Then we went to see her artwork.  Her reindeer was adorable.

She couldn't take her eyes off of her friend's little sister long enough for me to take this picture.  She loves being around little kids.  I think it's because she's been the youngest out of all the kids in my family for the longest time, until my youngest niece came along last year.

This is her horse & her clown, hung conveniently next to one another to make finding them so much easier.  I'm framing the horse.

It was a nice night out.  The girls pull us from one side of the school to the other to proudly show us their work.  Little do they know how we really are proud of them, no matter how well they draw.
