How I spent Jan. 1st

Since the night before was New Year's Eve, & Joe was home today he decided to let me sleep late. Apparently I really needed it & woke up well rested around 1pm. I can not tell you the last time I slept that late!!! And yes I am embarrassed to admit how late I slept!!

We had plans to go out to dinner & maybe catch a movie since my sister Chet was free to babysit. While I was getting ready to go out, I realized that the new CK KOTM was up for sale!! I tried to finish drying my hair in a hurry so I could jump on the computer & order a kit. Well at 4pm the site said they were out of stock but Becky's blog said that the site had crashed but they still had kits available. Unfortunately, we had to leave & while the thought crossed my mind to leave my sister in charge of ordering my kit, I just left it up to chance.

Chance apparently had Jan. 1st off as a holiday & did not work in my favor.

I missed out on the kit.
But I figure I'll still try & take a pic a day & see if they will re-order more kits. Keeping my fingers crossed. While part of me is upset about missing out on such a cool kit the other part of me is OK with it. To tell the truth the last few KOTM's that I've ordered are still un-used but sort of in the works. Another embarrassing fact I'm sharing. So I guess this is fate's way of telling me that I need to actually use what I've got before ordering more stuff.

Back to date night. We couldn't decide on which movie to see so we ended up just going to dinner at Outback. Afterward we went to Best Buy to see if they had the Blue Ray DVD player Joe wanted in stock--they didn't, but I ended up with a few accessories for my iPod.

So now everyone is in bed & here I am staying up late messing around with my exciting new gadget. It just might be more addicting than blogging, twittering, Facebook, & dare I say scrapping?!?! Well sort of anyway since I can still read my favorite blogs, twitter & Facebook all from the iPod...still working on the whole scrapping part. I've been downloading my CD's every chance I get which can be pretty time consuming, but so worth it!!
