Project Life 2013 Week: TWENTY-FIVE
Week 25 was a pretty busy week around here with last day of school and Gianna's birthday. Lots of pics (YAY!) and lots of inserts!
Not the best pics (still) but the title card is my favorite and one of the easiest I've done. Simply took a page from a 6x6 paper pad and trimmed it down. Added the "week 25" thickers and stamped along the borders. Looks like a lot more went into it than actually did. Kept things easy and the week got done so quick!
The right side of the week didn't have as many pics but I had so many to include so I made some inserts and added filler cards to the page. All good! Oh and the green and pink polka dot pocket? I saved some of the wrapping paper from her gifts and added an old Doodlebug embellie.
Sara Koonce on Instagram had made a pocket with her daughter's handwriting so I made sure to include that for Gianna's birthday. As you can see, she has priorities and a cat is high on her list.
Insert of the family party, kept it very simple. Front and back.
Tried surprising her with balloons in her room but as late as it was, she work up (and was still surprised). I took advantage of the fact to use flash when taking a pic of her room and printed it panoramic.
Added some patterned paper to the back with a little journaling and called it done.
The next day was her actual birthday so she got up early to open her gifts from us. We went to see Monster's Inc and had dinner at Outback. Her ideal way to celebrate her birthday. Front and back of the insert.
Keeping it simple makes it easier for sure, and I still like how it all came out!

Project Life 2013 Week: TWENTY-FOUR
Back again, with another week of Project Life. Still catching up on sharing them. This week felt a lot more fun to me. I mixed things up from different kits in my stash and just had fun.
I think it basically speaks for itself. Lots of filler cards in this week. I know I said it before but I'll say it again, I'd rather have more pics (namely of my family) than filler cards, but I still like how this came out.
My favorite part was the title card.
This page, I used a lot of fun stitching on the filler cards. The left purple/green one is just me piercing the paper along the pattern. The other two pockets are made using the Amy Tangerine stitch kit.
Last night, I went through my pics for 2011, and I think it might just be manageable to do a simpler version of Project Life. On a monthly scale mostly, but I'll just wing it, I think. Just need to decide on an album, and then I will slowly start to print my pics. Little by little, it'll get done. ;)

Project Life 2013 Week: TWENTY-THREE
Had to miss posting this yesterday due to some technical difficulties. Namely, I found the reason why my computer was acting funny. It was infected with BUGS. Joe ran Maelware (sp) and found some funky stuff on my computer. I blame the kids that "HAVE" to use MY computer instead of THEIRS. *&*^%$$@#!!
Luckily, Joe came to my rescue and solved one of my many problems. He's my hero.
Week 23 was very Purple heavy. Namely because I love it, and also it was our Anniversary week. Work with me.
Crappy pics still, but as good as it gets since I don't want to abandon my neglected blog. If it's not obvious, we've been married 14 years this year.
I sort of lost the purple on the right side of the week, but gave it one last try with the stitched heart. I saw that on AJMcGarvey's Instagram and knew I wanted to try it. It looks blue but it's purple.
A closer look at the heart....
So, as I type this, I am done with Week 28. Yep, I'm caught up!! Just not on the sharing, but hey that's life! ANY-WOO, I am contemplating doing Project Life for 2011. TWENTY ELEVEN!! WHY?? I don't know exactly. I was looking through some pics the other night, and realized I almost have a pic everyday for 2011, I could do it more on a monthly basis for when I have gaps....It's something I just might try....but only if I kept it simple?? Not sure. Like I said, I'm thinking about it. I'm just afraid I would fall too far behind or it would drive me nuts if I started it, then not finish it.... I would really like to get some mojo to scrap a layout but only seem to have the mojo when I can't scrap. Story of my life.

Project Life 2013 Week: TWENTY-TWO
Week 22 was a crazy week for us with Joe's surgery. Putting this spread together went pretty quick. I remember wishing I had more pics for the second page but it's all good.
This page has two flip pockets about Joe's surgery so I won't be sharing that. The "Epic" pocket flips up to show pics of Joe and holds his patient ID, (You can see it peeking out). The bottom "Grilling and Chillin" is another flip pocket that has more pics of Joe's recovery. (SO glad that's over!)
Seeing this, it's obvious where I lost my mojo (the center row), but it's done and in the album!
I seem to like mixing up my own papers with the kits from Studio Calico (not a subscriber), Citrus Twist & Kelly Purkey. Lots of fun to mix it up and make it work. Today I even broke down and bought the Becky Higgins "Honey" edition of Project Life, that I've been eyeing. It was 50% off at Simon Says Stamp, can't refuse that!!

Project life 2013 Week: TWENTY-ONE
Here we are with week 21. Not much happened this week, I guess you could say it was just average. I mixed up the page protectors and liked the flexibility.
The left side of the week had a lot of filler cards. Honestly, I'd much rather have more pics of my family. Nothing against filler cards but this was just heavy with them.
This side was fun, with the 4x4 pockets. I had more pics to share on this side and did some stitching, with the Amy Tangerine stitch kit. Those stencils are so fun to play with!
No inserts this week, which makes things easier, I believe. I'm in a love/hate relationship with inserts. Love the look of them, but hate the bulk they add to the album and it seems to take me longer to make them for some reason. Oh well, don't mess with a good thing!

Project Life 2013 Week: TWENTY
Happy to be sharing Week twenty of my Project Life pages. Still not the best pics but I'm just going with it. This was a fun filled week with Marissa's 12th birthday.
To reflect her love of owls (and mine!) there are a few owls scattered around. Made those with my Cameo awhile back, so cute!
This pocket is one of my favorites! I got the idea for this from Barbara. Her blog is full of awesome ideas!
The right side of the week is all birthday related. Her birthday was celebrated all weekend long!
Sequin shaker pocket showing her age.
This insert is from Gianna's class field trip to the museum that I got from one of the chaperones since I couldn't go. I printed it big and had Gianna journal about the trip on the back.
I guess she learned a lot about money. LOL! I like that I got her words in her handwriting to look back on.
The next insert has all the extra pics from Marissa's party with her friends. She had a fun weekend!

I seem to have a lot of inserts this year, it's no wonder my album is so full!

Project Life 2013 Week: NINETEEN
This post has been a long time in the making. I can not tell you how many times I have taken pics of my pages to share. I tried different times of the day looking for decent lighting. Nothing. I tried both my camera and my cell phone. Nothing. I finally have up and made the most of the last batch of pics I took and now that I'm ready to share them-Blogger is acting funny and won't let me type anything! (Typing this on my iPhone app) Nevermind, I may have figured something else out...for now!
I have lots of Project Life pages to share but I'll share them day by day. Or try to anyway!!
This weeks pages came together pretty well. I sorta stuck with a theme color, I guess you could call it. I used the Echo Park "Be Mine" 6x6 paper pad to keep everything coordinated. Well, except for two days, but work with me! LOL!
One of my favorite details on this page are these two pockets. I can't stop making sequin shaker pockets. They're not perfect in anyway but I like them and what they add to my pages. Plus I use some of my ever growing supply of sequins! The days of the week pocket I simply used different washi tapes for the background.
Another favorite pocket. I am slowly getting back in touch with my Big Shot and embossing folders. The dots is my go-to folder.
This pocket was a flip card that I made using vellum for the pocket. I got the idea from Pinterest, you can see it HERE. I couldn't find the exact link but this is her BLOG. I wanted to keep all the texts I got from Marissa from her Choir trip to Dorney Park. We texted a lot that day and I loved that she shared so much with me.
Finally, there are the inserts for Mother's Day. I kept it pretty simple.
So, now that I found a way to blog without having those problems, I hope to catch up on my pages of Project Life. I am actually caught up and started Volume 2 of my albums!
