Saturday Swim Day

Scenes from our fun at my sister's pool.  We had so much fun, lounging around, splashing, soaking up the sun, laughing, eating, being together. 

Yep, Summer at it's best.

Pool Time

This Summer hasn't been much of a Summer but today was one of the warmer days & we hit my sister Marie's pool. The water was on the cool side but everyone managed to have fun. Gianna sat in her usual spot (she hasn't changed much since last year).

My neice Nikki riding this "wave runner". Didn't go very fast at all, but the kids had fun on it. Marissa loves to jump in the water over & over again. My nephew Tyler can now swim in the "deep end"...awesome!
Nikki really turned into a mermaid this year & was all over the pool.


Gianna got a ride from my brother-in-law Danny. We all pretty much floated on those noodles all day long...

After shivering from the cold Gianna caved & got out but she would not give up that water shooter! I have got to find one (or 2) for the girls. Checked in Toys R Us, Target & Walmart...might need to wait till next year...SIGH!!Eventually we convinced the kids to get out of the pool & despite their saying they weren't cold we won. Marissa bundled herself up as best she could & then I turned her into a "mummy". The younger two dried off & played "rock paper scissors". They just look so cute to me here & tiny. Gianna told us that her & Tyler are both 5...turns out she was right since Tyler doesn't turn 6 until Sept. She loved that someone was her "size"!

These two were a riot. I couldn't get Nikki to make a serious face & the sillier she got the more Marissa laughed. After they all dried off my sister brought out stuff to make "S'mores" & we all got gooey.Good Summer fun!!

Weekend Update

Breaking Dawn Update: Yesterday I got an email saying my book is packed & ready to leave the warehouse.

Ready to leave?? Shouldn't it be in transit??

Just checked the shipping info & it STILL had the same status!! I wish I had followed my instinct & just cancelled the damn order!! I've been by Borders or BJ's at least 3 times this weekend & could've picked it up by now! DAMN you B&N!!

Yesterday we went to my sister Marie's house. My girlfriend Carolee was there with her niece Madison. After we ate a late lunch, the sun decided to grace us with it's presence. The kids were itching to get in the pool, despite it not being that hot out.


Gianna taking aim at her next victim. She's concentrating very hard, see her tongue hanging out?? That helps her concentrate.



Here's Marissa right before she started shivering from how cold she was...but had to do a few more underwater flips--because she can.


This is niece Nikki, she was all over the pool. She's part fish.

This little dude is my nephew Tyler. He's never gonna be hard up for a date when he grows up. Just look at those muscles.

This is Madison. She was staying with Carolee for the weekend. The kids all idolized her since she was the oldest kid there.

This is where there should be a pic of me, Carolee, & Marie but there isn't. We were busy chatting to think of something like that. So instead I will show you this tasty treat we had for dessert.

I brought my famous chocolate chip cookies for dessert & we stuffed 'em with ice cream. YUMMMMY!

Today Joe had to work, so the girls & I basically didn't do much of anything. I sorted & reorganized my loose ribbons. Don't ask but it just wasn't working for me the way I had it. I should've been doing more Disney LO's but my computer was acting funny & I needed to print a few pics for this one LO, so I didn't bother.

This week I'll be packing for our trip to Great Wolf Lodge. If anyone has any tips for us I'd love to hear them. I like knowing what to expect when we go somewhere new.

SPLASH!

I've been wanting to post about last weekend & since my computer is tied up at the moment, I figured now's a good time. These pics are all from last Saturday.

We went up to my sister Marie's house for a day of fun at the pool. My mom was there & my sister Chet & all the grandchildren. My mom was in her glory. Being that my pink eye was still pink, I stayed out of the pool (mostly) & took a TON of pics.

Here's Marissa & my neice Nikki towards the end of the day. Their lips were blue but they insisted they were fine!

This is pretty much were Gianna spent most of the day. She can touch the bottom, I know this since she & my nephew Tyler are the same height & he can touch the bottom but she wasn't buying it. Unless someone carried her around she stayed put.

She had such a good time splashing everyone (including herself) with that water cannon thingy.

I even got these crazy shots of all the kids (except Gianna) jumping into the pool at the same time.




Note to self: next time have them jump from opposite side of the pool where there isn't so much distraction in the background!! **SIGH**
