Feeling the LOVE!

I was thrilled to see that my girl Susan "hearts" me!! I can't remember how we first got in touch with each other but it was either through 2P's or the blogging world. Susan do you remember??

She's a seriously cool mom of 3 kids. We started talking around the time she was having #3. We seem to have a lot in common; our kids are about the same age (only I've got 2 & she's got 3), scrapping, blogging, "Grey's Anatomy", & TWILIGHT! Seriously Susan, THANKS for being there & letting me know someone's listening!

Laura Vegas - She is AWESOME!! A scrapper extraordinaire who inspires me constantly with her work & always puts me in a scrapping mood! AND she manages to create while juggling her family AND a Daycare from her house! She is my IDOL & she totally ROCKS!! We began emailing each other after I found her blog & I now consider her a friend. Love her!

Mary Macaskill - Another FANTASTIC scrapper whose work I admire. I've never met her but I visit her blog daily & she never fails to deliver beautiful work with the most amazing details.

Tamera - This girls knows DISNEY! If you know anything about me it's that I am a Disney FANATIC. I only recently found her blog through 2P's (yep another scrapper), but if you ever need a dose of Disney (other than when you come here) go check her out!

Amy - I think hers was the 1st blog I ever read! I could probably give her credit for a number of things oh, like starting this blog, making my 1st card, & reading Twilight! She's incredibly talented & crafty. Only thing is I've never met her!!

Stephanie Howell - She's got 2 adorable little girls that she scraps everyday! I admire her ability to juggle it all while her husband serves our country. Yes another talented scrapper, that I've never met.

Heather - She operates this FANTABULOUS Scrapbook store called the Scrapbook Bakery. Sounds fun right? She ships your order in a yummy pink bakery box!! Makes you wish there was a little sweet treat in there but she packs it with all sorts of fun stuff to play with & it's non fattening!!!

Denine - She's a CK Hall of Fame 2008 winner! I've always admired her work while reading my scrapbook magazines & was happy to have found her blog. She's very talented & truly worthy of the HOF title--go take a peek at her work!

Weird stuff you didn't know about me....Tagged!!

I got tagged by Laura for my birthday. Isn't she just sweet?!?! Here are the rules. List 7 things about yourself ... tag 7 people and link their blogs ... and then leave comments on their blog letting them know they're tagged. Follow?? Good that means you're tagged!!

1. I have always been a night owl. Although I get up earlier now to get the girls to school than when I had to get to work! I can stay up late easily but I pay for it the next morning.

2. I always dread going out to parties where I have to mingle with people I don't normally socialize with. I get almost sick with anxiety about going, then once I'm there I wonder what I was worried about & have a good time.

3. I buy loads of those cute $1 acrylic stamps from Michael's & AC Moore but haven't used them yet. I just seem to horde them!

4. I set my alarm to go off 20 mins. earlier than I need to get up & then just sleep through it anyway. I wake up in a panic & hurry to get showered & dressed in time to get the girls to school.

5. I would rather bake any day of the week than cook. I don't mind cooking but baking is more fun to me. Just call me Sara-Lee!!

6. I'm almost compulsive about having things organized but my kitchen & dining room are always full of piles of papers that need to get put away but don't until people come over! Joe loves it when I have people over because it means the house will get cleaned!! LOL!!

7. I start loads of projects with all the best intentions of following through to the end but get sidetracked by something newer & more interesting. I need to start things that are easy to finish so I get the sense of accomplishment faster.

So there you have all my quirks--well not all my quirks but the tag says 7 & that's all I'm sharing. I wouldn't want to scare people off!!

I'm not sure who I'll tag....so I'm leaving it open & if you feel like playing leave me a comment so I can see that I'm not the only person out there who's as odd as I feel some days. Been having fun reading everyone's blogs & their fun facts about themselves. Can't believe I've been tagged---especially by my "idol" Laura! So here goes....

1. I am very anal about organization & everything being in "it's" place however I don't keep up on things & put things away when I should.
2. My pantries (yes I have 2) are FULL of food because I ALWAYS over buy BUT there's nothing to eat in the fridge!
3. I would rather bake then cook anyday (the proof is on my hips) although I do like to cook just not the "usual" things.
4. I LOVE to entertain but stress over it WAY too much until it starts then wonder what I was so worried about. (see previous blog postings)
5. I have to keep myself from running to the mailbox everyday as soon as I see the mailperson so I don't seem so silly but I just want to see if there is any "happy mail".
6. I spend too much time online checking out other people's layouts THEN wonder WHY I'm so far behind in my own scrapping.
7. I buy things online because I HAVE to have it then don't use it as soon as I should (ie-scrap supplies...see #6 & #5)

So there you have it. My quirkiness unveiled for all to see. I think if I thought about it more I could've come up with more crazy facts but I don't want to scare anyone (who actually might be reading my blog) off!! I don't know anyone that blogs other than the people whose blogs I lurk on so I officially end the tag & not tag anyone back. My friends & family don't even know that I have a blog (except Joe but I haven't let him see it--too personal!!! LOL!!!) If I were to mention this to my sisters they would tell me I have "too much time on my hands" which is the same reply when I talk about my scrapping!! So if you're up for it & you are like me & "have too much time on your hands" then please feel free to share your quirkiness with me!

On a happy note...today was our parent-teacher conference with Marissa's teacher & it went so well!! She said Marissa was right where she should be in the class. She's very excited about learning new things. She's eager to learn & isn't a follower. She's a bit competitive but in a good way in that she wants to learn & get it right. Really a great meeting! Not to sound like my kid is perfect or anything but she does need to focus on her reading comprehension skills & pronoun use. Just in case you think my child is a child prodigy! LOL!!

Today was Gianna's school pictures.

She looked so friggin' CUTE! She said she smiled & demonstrates with this totally cheesy smile. Time will tell. I had to take pictures of her when we got home. She looked so different & I can't figure out why. BTW-last night she went to bed in her underwear--no pull-ups!! She did wonderful!! Tonight should be good too. I have to report there haven't been any accidents since the last time I posted about her having an accident so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I'm just about done cleaning for the party tomorrow night. I have a whopping 7 people (including me) coming & 2 maybes!! Oh well we'll still have fun! Now I'm off to slice up the brownies I baked & finish cleaning the bathroom...I would just like to skip the cleaning part & get to the baking & setting up the table/food part. It's times like these that make me want to get a cleaning service...but that would mean I would have to let go of my anal quirkiness (see #1)!

2. do you have a favorite type of pen? anything that works...mostly paper mate....as long as it's ball point. Been known to buy pens that are "CUTE" just because!

4. what color are your toenails usually? Usually something pink during the summer towards the fall more reds/burgundy.
