Date Night

Yesterday was our "First Date" Anniversary. It was 13 years ago that we had our 1st date. It's mind boggling how fast time flies, because it doesn't feel like Thirteen Years!!

Just for the record, I STILL LOVE HIM!!

We got my sister Chet to come watch the girls & we went to a movie & dinner. It was nice, especially the part about not being interrupted. You know, seeing a movie without taking the kids to the bathroom or eating dinner in peace without taking the kids to the bathroom, or arguing with the kids to eat their dinner, or struggling with the kids to sit in their seats & not bother the people next to us.

Not that that's ever happen to us....I'm just sayin'.

First we went to the movies, after we got our tickets & drinks we walked around looking at the movie posters for the upcoming movies. We rounded a corner & what do I see that totally stopped me in my tracks?

Twilight Movie Film Poster

I wanted Joe to take my pic by it but he wouldn't...so mean, but I did make him promise to take me to see it no matter what. Seriously, I can't wait!! Only 186 more days till it's out!!

So we went to see "You Don't Mess with the Zohan". Joe & I are big Adam Sandler fans. We like dopey comedy, what can I say? We've seen the trailers for the movie & it looked like it was going to be another funny one. Well it sorta was. I think they went overkill with the movie & tried too hard. Don't get me wrong some of it was funny but could I have waited to see it on DVD? Definately.

We should have gone to see "Sex & the City".

After the movie, we went to Chili's to eat. It was a toss up between there & Outback but I was in the mood for spicy food. I ended up eating way too much!! I also had 2 Strawberry Daquiri's that didn't help the full feeling I had when we left. So good!

My sister was surprised when we got home by 9-ish, so were we -- just call us lame. On the other hand I got to cuddle with Gianna like she did when she was a baby & she fell asleep on my chest. It felt so good!

I'm seriously thinking of keeping her in a bubble so she can't grow up.

One More Week & the Olympics!

As of today the girls only have 1 more week until SUMMER VACATION!!!! I for one can't wait! For awhile now it's been harder & harder for me to get up in the morning. I need a break! I could have sworn last night was Friday, but it wasn't. I actually went to bed early last night (11pm) but I had a bad night's sleep & woke up with some major back pain. **SIGH**

Marissa had her "Mini-Olympics" today at gymnastics. It was cute they came out in 3 groups each group represented a country (USA, Canada, & France). My pics came out crappy, please don't critizize!

At the end, they each got a gold medal. She was so excited about it! I was so proud of her too.

At home when I ask her what they do she tells me but I don't get a full story. So I was really impressed when I saw her on the un-even bars (they only did the bottom bar--but still) She did flips that I've never seen her do at home but I guess it's easier when you have the soft mats to land on.

I can't seem to finish this one Disney LO that's been sitting on my desk for awhile now. I don't know why. Sometimes I'll sit & move things around on it or I'll add something to it but I'm not feeling it. Go figure.

Last night for our Anniversary, we went out to eat with the girls. We went to the Cheesecake Factory, YUMMMMM. I had the Luau Salad & it was gooooooood! I need to take a pic of it the next time just to show how pretty & appetizing it looks! I wasn't going to have dessert but I figured it was something I could share with the girls & ordered the Strawberry Shortcake. They ate more than I did & they totally swiped all the whipped cream for themselves!! They're just lucky they're CUTE!

Tomorrow night my sister Chet is coming to babysit the girls so Joe & I can celebrate by ourselves & catch a movie. It's also our "1st Date" Anniversary (I know, I know, we're corny), we'll be celebrating our being together for 13 years. Can you believe it? THIRTEEN YEARS!! He was my age when we started dating! Oh wait did I never mention that he's 13 years older than me? Yep he is. When I realized that this will be our 13th year it dawned on me that he was 34 when he first started dating me! Yeah he was totally robbing the cradle!

9 Wonderful Years

Where did the time go? Can it possibly be 9 years that Joe & I have been married? Time flew by when I wasn't looking!! It seems like we've been together forever, yet not exactly, but in a good way!!

This was one of the happiest days of my life!! I married the most wonderful man--I just LOVE him so much!! I remember that at the end of the night my face hurt from smiling so much -- a great feeling!

To 9 WONDERFUL Years!!

Lovin' my hubby

I just want to gush about Joe right now. He knows I still have a TON of wrapping to do & has offered to keep the girls out of my hair today after he gets home from work. Not only THAT he offered to go do some food shopping (on his way home) that I couldn't do in advance for Christmas Eve that we're having at our house. Not only THAT he just took Marissa (Gianna didn't want to go) & went to BJ's for me with a pretty long list. He just ROCKS!!! I have THE BESTEST hubby!! Totally LOVE that man!! That's what I call romance! hehe!!

On this day 1o years ago the sweetest man asked me if I would be his wife...and I said yes! Today is our "Engagement Anniversary". Yes you heard me right--we celebrate it! We also celebrate our "Dating Anniversary" as well as our Wedding Anniversary. I've gotten a lot of shocked looks when I tell people that we celebrate the day we got engaged. But really that's such an important day how could you NOT celebrate??

He asked me to marry him in the Magic Kingdom at Disney World. He took me to Tony's Townsquare Restaurant because it's themed like "Lady & the Tramp" & he knows how much I LOVE Lady & the Tramp!! He 's just SO romantic!! Here's a picture of use the day we arrived at WDW that changed my life. I scrapped this for an album I did of just "US". No kids. Just us. If you lift the flap open it tells the whole story about how he proposed. He's just so darn ROMANTICAL! I had to cancel getting my nails done today with my friend Samantha because Joe let it slip that he was sending me flowers & I had to be around to accept delivery. Not just any flowers but red roses. There's 2 dozen there all full & beautiful. My man does it with STYLE! He's a keeper!

This is us tonight after dinner. Marissa took this picture for us. I think she did a GREAT job! Might be needing her own camera soon!

The beautiful roses proudly displayed in the dining area of our kitchen. He's SO ROMANTIC! I just LOVE him roses or not! Can't believe it was 10 years ago....can't wait to hit our 10 year Wedding Anniversary! We've been "together" 12 years which just AMAZES us on how fast it's gone! It seems like it was only yesterday but it also feels like we've known each other forever! Now that's AMORE!

Saturday Fun

Today I took my girlfriend Samantha out to get our nails done, (I was treating her for her birthday that was earlier in the month) We were supposed to have lunch & then get our nails done but she couldn't make lunch so we settled on our mani/pedi.

I got to her house at 3pm to leave time to get to the salon for our 3:30 appt, but she was running late & we didn't leave her house until 3:30. Ok no problem I had called to let them know we were running late. When we finally got there it was 4pm (I missed the exit on the highway!!-DUH!!) so they told us we had to pick either the manicure or the pedicure. I left it up to the birthday girl & she chose the manicure. No problem it'll be nice having my nails done for a change but I was REALLY looking forward to having a pedicure-oh well. I picked a REALLY cool color for my nails. It's a purply/burgundy color & it had a funny name which really sold me on it-something like "stop your whining yukon do it". It made me laugh & think of all the Adam Sandler movies where Rob Schneider always yells out "You can do it!" in EVERY movie!

So we decided to reschedule our pedicures for Fri somewher in town while the kids are at school. I'll have Gianna with me but if she gets her toes done too she'll be in heaven! Then after we'll grab lunch like we had planned. It'll be nice considering this Fri will be Joe's & my "anniversary"of sorts. He proposed to me on Sept. 28, 1997 & we celebrate it like all our other anniversaries. Come on now everyone all together......HOW ROMANTIC!!!

When I got home the girls were wound up & Bobby was over hanging out. Joe wanted to go out to eat & since the girls kept insisting on Fuddruckers that's where we went. It's easy, it's fast & it's simple. That pretty much sums up my Saturday, but remember "You can Do It!!"
